Meet the Maker

Rheanna Chen aka Edible Sweetheart (ES)

Rheanna is devoted to the world of ecology, art and connection. She grew up on the island of Trinidad and now lives in an off-grid, forest cottage by the sea. You will find her in the garden growing flowers or in the studio with hands in clay making small-batch tableware. She lives by the philosophy- grow, gather & nourish.

The loss of her mother to leukaemia at age 4, sparked her yoga journey over the last two decades. She has a BSc in International Agriculture Development and a Masters in Gastronomy. She worked in various permaculture farms and learned from potters across California, Italy, France, Barbados, Hawai'i and India. To honour her Asian heritage, she wrote her thesis on the impact of Zen mindfulness on everyday food rituals. This was written at a monastery integrating those practices as a way of being. With a lifelong commitment to regenerative development in the Caribbean, she uses systems thinking and capacity building to design inclusive spaces for food sovereignty, climate resilience and community empowerment.

This is infused into every vessel created and bouquet arranged- as a reminder that everyday rituals do matter.
